🌙 Now the clocks have changed and the evenings are darker, it's a good time to think about home security.
Burglaries can happen at any time, but darker evenings can provide extra cover for criminals. A few simple steps can help keep your home secure: 🔒 Always lock doors and windows, even if you're only out for a short time. 💡 Use timer switches on lights to make your home look occupied when you're out. 📦 Keep valuables, keys and car keys out of sight and away from doors and windows. 🌳 Trim hedges and shrubs around doors and windows to remove potential hiding places. 🚗 Lock your vehicle and remove valuables from view. 👀 Look out for your neighbours and report any suspicious activity.
If you see a crime taking place, call 999. For non-emergency concerns or to report suspicious behaviour, contact 101 or report online.
Let's work together to keep our neighbourhood safe this autumn and winter. 🍂🏡 | ||
